Letters Forever began in honor of our late mother.
Dan’s mother, Deb, was 57 when she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. As her health declined, one wish rose above the rest. She wanted to write a letter to the baby her daughter-in-law, Lauren, was carrying. A letter filled with love, hope, and words meant to be opened by the grandchild she would never meet.
She never got that chance.
Just days after she spoke of writing it, she grew sicker and passed away. In the midst of our grief, there was another loss we couldn’t shake—the loss of her words. Words that would never be read, held or felt by future generations.
That moment stayed with us.
We kept asking ourselves the same question:
What would she have written… if only there had been more time?
We created Letters Forever so no one else has to lose that opportunity.
